The Ohio State University College of Arts and Sciences' Department of Theatre presents Digi-EYE: Film/Video Showcase, an evening of new visual digital media works by undergraduate and graduate students in Theatre. The video program, coordinated by Janet Parrott, associate professor, takes place at 7:30 pm tonight, January 24, and Saturday, January 25, in Thurber Theatre, Drake Performance and Event Center.

Tickets are now on sale for Cameron Mackintosh's spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, which makes its premiere in Columbus as part of a new North American tour. With reinvented staging and scenic design, this new version of PHANTOM, the longest running show in Broadway history, will be performed by a cast and orchestra of 52, making this one of the largest productions on tour in North America.

Nickelodeon's THE FRESH BEAT BAND Plays CAPA Tonight

The Fresh Beat Band, Nickelodeon's preschool music group and stars of the hit TV series of the same name, are hitting the road again for 60 performances on their nationwide concert tour. Featuring Kiki (Yvette Gonzalez-Nacer), Marina (Tara Perry), Twist (Jon Beavers), and Shout (Thomas Hobson), The Fresh Beat Band will perform hits from seasons one, two, and three of the Nickelodeon live-action music series that teaches preschoolers about music appreciation. Songs performed include 'Here We Go, 'A Friend Like You,' 'Bananas,' and 'Just Like A Rockstar' among others.

The notoriously harsh London critics predicted a very short lifespan for WE WILL ROCK YOU, a musical centered on the rock band Queen's hits, when it opened May 14, 2002 at the Dominion Theatre in London's West End. The Guardian felt the production came across as 'ruthlessly packaged and manufactured,' with its plot finding 'more unlikely ways to wring out another Queen song' into the two and a half hour performance.
