The Cleveland Play House Extends BILL W. AND DR. BOB Through 5/9

Due to audience demand, The Cleveland Play House has extended the run of Bill W. and Dr. Bob by a week. The added performances begin on Thursday, May 6 and run through Sunday, May 9, 2010.

Great Lakes Theater Festival (GLTF) announces auditions for non-Equity actor/teachers for its School Residency Program for the 2010-2011 school year. Actors of all cultural backgrounds are encouraged to audition. These are full-time, seasonal, paid positions, offered from September, 2010 through May, 2011. All auditions are by appointment only.

He's been mobbed by fans at appearances in Japan, Singapore and all over Europe, and tickets for Adam Lambert's newly-announced first headlining tour in the U.S. ('The Glam Nation Tour') are selling out in one day. PlayhouseSquare's Allen Theatre has just been added to that tour for a Friday, July 9th concert at 8 pm, a show which is being billed as 'an audio and visual spectacular delivering glam, drama and excitement' starring the popular former American Idol finalist.

Guitarist Jake Hertzog, musical director for Nickelodeon stars, Nat and Alex Wolff, is set for a Midwest Tour starting in Indianapolis, MN on May 29. The five-dater tour will finish in Urbana, IL on June 2. Hertzog is taking rhythm section Harvie S (bass) and Victor Jones (drums) on the upcoming tour in support of his new jazz CD "Patterns" (Buckyball 022).

The competition portion of Slam U came to a close on Friday, April 30 in the Ohio Theatre at PlayhouseSquare. More than 500 guests watched as sixteen of Northeast Ohio's best teen poets battled for six spots on Cleveland's National Youth Poetry Slam Team.
