Beck Center Opens THE LITTLE DOG LAUGHED, 10/5

Beck Center for the Arts presents the comedy The Little Dog Laughed, October 5 through November 11, 2012 in the Studio Theater. There is no performance on Saturday, November 10. Show times are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are now on sale.

Beck Center for the Arts rolls out its 2012/2013 Professional Theater season with the first locally produced premiere of Xanadu, the award-winning Broadway hit musical based on the Universal Pictures' cult classic movie of the same title, which starred Olivia Newton-John and Gene Kelly. Beck Center for the Arts rolls out its 2012/2013 Professional Theater season with the first locally produced premiere of Xanadu, the award-winning Broadway hit musical based on the Universal Pictures' cult classic movie of the same title, which starred Olivia Newton-John and Gene Kelly. Xanadu runs on the Mackey Main Stage tonight, September 14 through October 14, 2012.

Beck Center for the Arts will be bustling this Friday, September 14 with opening night of the Broadway hit musical XANADU as it kicks off its 2012/2013 Professional Theater season, as well as opening receptions for two art gallery exhibits, Esperanza's Young Artists and Hispanic Heritage, Hispanic Art. Guests are invited to meet and greet the artists at opening receptions for these two gallery exhibits from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. before XANADU rolls onto the Mackey Main Stage at 8 p.m. Beck Center is located at 17801 Detroit Avenue in Lakewood, just minutes from downtown Cleveland. Her latest work and tenth production, Malone debuted the 'love gone wrong' story last October at Cincinnati's Aronoff Center for the Arts.

Beck Center to Host Opening Night Reception, 9/14

Beck Center for the Arts in collaboration with the Hispanic Cultural Center will host an opening reception 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 14, 2012, for Hispanic Heritage, Hispanic Art, a contemporary art exhibition featuring the distinctive artworks of 13 Hispanic artists. Guests will be the first to see the exhibit, meet the artists, enjoy food, music, and cash bar. Hispanic Heritage, Hispanic Art will be on display in the Jean Bulicek Galleria at Beck Center through October 14. For gallery hours, call Customer Service at 216.521.2540, ext. 10. The national tour of Roundabout Theatre Company's ANYTHING GOES, the new Broadway revival of Cole Porter's timeless classic musical theatre masterpiece, will make its Cleveland premiere October 2 - 14 at PlayhouseSquare as part of the KeyBank Broadway Series. The Cleveland stop will kick off the 25-city national tour.

Representing the surfside community of Ogunquit, ME, Ogunquit-A-GoGo, as the driving duo is known, will take part in the 8-day, 15 city, 2,500 mile interactive road rally when it begins Friday Sept 21st in Independence, OH and ends Saturday Sept 29th in Bangor, ME.
