By: Nov. 13, 2012

Cleveland Orchestra violist Lisa Boyko will introduce children ages 3-6 to "The Vivacious Viola" in PNC Musical Rainbow concerts, held in Severance Hall's Reinberger Chamber Hall. Viola students from El Sistema@Rainey will perform with Ms. Boyko during the program. There will be one performance on Friday, November 30, at 10 a.m., and two Saturday performances, Saturday, December 1, at 10 a.m. and Saturday, December 1, at 11 a.m. Local actress and singer MaryAnn Nagel hosts the 30-minute programs for young children, which include narration, demonstration, short solo selections, and audience participation.

This season, as part of its Grow Up Great initiative in Cleveland, PNC is sponsoring the Musical Rainbows Series for preschoolers as well as a wide range of other activities and programs designed to give very young children "A Great Early Start in the Arts." PNC Musical Rainbow programs introduce very young children to the instruments of the orchestra, one at a time.

PNC Musical Rainbow Concerts are endowed by the Pysht Fund.
