Two pianists' quest for larger-than-life dreams takes the stage in 2 PIANOS, 4 HANDS, beginning on Nov. 9 in the Rosenthal Shelterhouse Theatre. Audiences are invited to experience the side-splitting musical comedy through Jan. 5, with opening night on Nov. 14.
Mark Lomax II To Perform With CSO Members At Freedom Center

The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra's (CSO) Multicultural Awareness Council (MAC) presents a special performance at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center (NURFC) at 3 pm on Sunday, October 27. The concert features works by MAC Music Innovator and composer Mark Lomax, II, performed with members of the CSO. This event is open to the public and free with museum admission.

Thursday, October 10 to Sunday, October 13 from 7:00 PM-11:00 PM each night.  Restrooms will be available, and guests may purchase drinks and light snacks at the venues' bars.  In addition, BLINK-inspired art installations/exhibitions may be experienced at both buildings.

I'll be the first to admit that when I read the show blurb for Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park's 'Alias Grace,' I was a little anxious and hesitant about seeing it. I knew the talent would be through the roof, and the production quality would be extraordinary, as always, but it was the subject matter that I feared. I am an absolute wimp when it comes to thrillers and murder mysteries. Yet, I spent the entire play on the edge of my seat, thoroughly enjoying myself and mourning the end when the lights came up.

BRIC, a leading educator, incubator and presenter of arts and cultural programming in Brooklyn, is pleased to announce the inaugural Colene Brown Art Prize, an unrestricted $100,000 grant that will be awarded in amounts of $10,000 each to ten under-recognized New York-based visual artists. The recipients will be announced on October 1, 2019 and celebrated at BRIC's annual gala on November 7, 2019. The Colene Brown Art Prize is underwritten by artist and BRIC Board Member Deborah Brown in memory of her late mother, Colene Brown, and is funded through the Harold and Colene Brown Family Foundation.

Sisters Katia and Marielle Labéque return to the Music Hall stage with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (CSO) on September 20-21 (Friday at 11 AM and Saturday at 8 PM) for the U.S. premiere of Bryce Dessner's Concerto for Two Pianos. A Cincinnati native and member of the alternative rock band The National, Mr. Dessner (who has received Grammy Awards both for his orchestral compositions and work with The National) has collaborated with the CSO on several occasions, both as a performer and a composer.
