The Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park's joyous, time-honored celebration of the true meaning of the holidays returns for its 29th season as First Financial Bank presents Charles Dickens' A CHRISTMAS CAROL. The beloved, iconic story will be performed Nov. 27 through Dec. 29 in the Playhouse's Robert S. Marx Theatre. (Opening night is Nov. 29.)

International violinist sensation, Gil Shaham, will perform at Music Hall November 8 and 9 with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (CSO) under Music Director Louis Langrée in Petrouchka + Tchaikovsky. The Saturday evening concert (Nov 9 at 8 pm) is SOLD OUT, but good seats are still available for the Friday night performance (Nov 8 at 8 pm).

The ribbit-ing return of Ensemble Theatre's first commissioned family-friendly musical, The Frog Princess, leaps to the stage December 4, 2019-January 4, 2020. This musical spin on the beloved classic Russian fairy tale celebrates the beauty within each of us and receives a contemporary twist by local creative team Joseph McDonough (playwright) and David Kisor (composer and lyricist). This year's production is the first time it will have appeared on the ETC stage in twelve years. With an revitalized script, intricate costumes, and a lavish set, The Frog Princess is holiday fun for the entire family! Directed by D. Lynn Meyers.

Actors from throughout the Midwest are invited, on behalf of the Casting Society of America (CSA), for a general audition call to perform for CSA member D. Lynn Meyers in exchange for a suggested donation of three non-perishable food and/or toiletry items to benefit Cincinnati's Freestore Foodbank.

The Cincinnati May Festival announced program details and artists for the 2020 Festival with nine performances taking place between May 21 and 31, 2020 at Cincinnati Music Hall as well as other locations, and an additional performance on April 5, 2020 at the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption in Covington, Kentucky. Joining the Festival's artistic leadership team of Principal Conductor Juanjo Mena and Director of Choruses Robert Porco is 2020 Artistic Partner John Adams.
