‘PAC the House’ Series at Hackensack Performing Arts Center Continues with Mandy Gonzalez of “Hamilton”, “Wicked” and “In the Heights"
Hackensack, NJ (May 2, 2018) – The Hackensack Main Street Business Alliance and the City of Hackensack will soon be welcoming another big name - Broadway and television star Mandy Gonzalez - to the Hackensack Performing Arts Center (HACPAC) stage on Saturday, June 2, as part of its PAC the House series.
Gonzalez has been a part of the national sensation “Hamilton” since assuming the role of Angelica Schuyler nearly three years ago. Prior to that, she co-starred as Elphaba in the award-winning “Wicked” and as Nina Rosario in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s “In the Heights.”
Her debut solo album “Fearless” was released last October, with the title track co-written by Miranda. “Fearless” also contains new tracks written by Bill Sherman, Jennifer Nettles, Tom Kitt as well as classic songs, including a cover of “Que sera, sera”, an acoustic version version of her signature “In the Heights” song “Breathe” as well as a duet with her “Hamilton” and “In the Heights” co-star Christopher Jackson call “Life is Sweet.”
In addition to her standout singing success, Gonzalez has carved out quite a career onscreen, as well, with recurring roles on the TV series “Madam Secretary” and “Quantico” and appearances in the films “Man on a Ledge” and “Across the Universe."
Hackensack Performing Arts Center is located at 102 State St. and the show begins at 8 p.m.
