Review: CHICAGO at Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre
by Rich Mehrenberg - August 13, 2022
Dutch Apple celebrates the jazz age in their newest production of Chicago. Although the playbill references a cast of 22, the orchestra is the true star of this show. The ten-piece ensemble is bold and brassy. They are placed prominently and permanently onstage with good reason. They serve as the engine that propels the story.

Review: THE WIZARD OF OZ at Keystone Theatrics At Allenberry Playhouse
by Marakay Rogers - August 08, 2022
When Harold Arlen and Yip Harburg put THE WIZARD OF OZ together, they knew they had a good thing. So did the studio. And audiences knew it, too. There's still a crowd that will show for any public performance of the movie, especially if it's a sing-along. It's this popularity that turned the movie into a stage musical, to keep the magic going.
Review: THE ELEPHANT MAN at The Belmont Theatre
by Rich Mehrenberg - August 08, 2022
A powerful and thoughtful drama that questions the concept of normalcy. Currently on Belmont Theater's stage is a challenging, yet rewarding production of The Elephant Man. The play, like the film, concerns nineteenth-century, London doctor, Fredrick Treves and his attempts to bring dignity and normalcy to the severely disfigured, John Merrick.

What did our critic think of CATS at Susquehanna Stage? What a fantastic night at Susquehanna Stage. While 'Cats' might not be everyone's favorite Broadway show, due to its limited plot and almost music review format, there is no denying that the energy of this cast, the creativity of the choreography, the amazing costuming, and live orchestra made this production of 'Cats' outstanding.
