The Chairs, by Eugène Ionesco, is a thought-provoking exploration of loneliness and existentialism presented by YOLO! Productions. The story revolves around an elderly couple preparing for a mysterious gathering as they engage in surreal conversations, revealing profound truths about human existence. Featuring Nathaniel P. Claridad as the Old Man, Nairoby Otero as the Old Woman, and Jack Utrata as the Orator, this production emphasizes raw performances within a minimalist setting, bringing Ionesco's themes of absurdity and fragility to the forefront. The show will run from March 27 to April 14, 2025, at the Balance Arts Center in New York.
