StoryBook Theatre (SBT) invites audiences to join a talented group of young players on a mystic and exotic journey in their presentation of Pippin The Musical, onstage from August 19 - September 2023, the opening show of their Season to be Extraordinary.

Theatre artists Valerie Planche and Toyin Lamas are excited to present the Fear or Freedom Workshop Project on May 20, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Evergreen Theatre. This workshop will consist of a reading of The Writers Circle, which is based on the journey of numerous women from different backgrounds and what they have done to harness their fear or encourage their freedom.

DIY Theatre will present Each & Every Song, its first-ever live musical performance, from May 18 - May 21, 2023. In collaboration with Canmore-based singer/songwriter Ellen Braun, Each & Every Song is a distinctive one-woman show that takes audiences on a journey through the songwriter, turned playwright's, life.

As part of a year-long initiative, Downstage supports new and emerging artists as part of their Stage It Program. These two new productions, Kindling and Secret Saloon, are part of the upcoming Stage It Festival from May 11 - May 14, 2023, alongside a special event featuring two other performances, and a local arts market that will include local music acts and vendors.

Disney's Newsies will close out StoryBook Theatre's 46th Season of Inspiration, running from May 12 - June 3, 2023 on Tuesdays to Saturdays at 7 p.m. and Saturdays & Sundays at 2 p.m. Audiences will be welcomed to experience a show that's filled with love, perseverance, overcoming adversity, standing up for others, as well as spotlighting the importance of community and collaboration.
