Next week, 54 Below will present some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz, and beyond, including Rent original stars Adam Pascal & Anthony Rapp, The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Star Britani Bateman, Feat. John Arthur Hill, Orfeh, & Lagoona Bloo and more. 

Larry Kaufman: Sing Us a Song, Mr. Parody Man! – August 24 at 7pm

Join Larry Kaufman and some of Broadway’s funniest stars as they present to you Sing Us A Song, Mr. Parody Man, an evening of hilarious parodies combined into a lighthearted musical. The night will feature parodies of well known Broadway songs along with a few pop music surprises. Sorry to say there will be no refunds due to anyone falling out of their seats laughing…(that DID happen once). Lyricist Larry Kaufman is a Drama Desk winner and has won 3 songwriting contests at Summerfolk Music Festival, beating out Grammy and Juno winning artists.

Come and laugh the night away with Larry Kaufman and his award-winning parodies!

Larry Kaufman is a Broadway/London/Australia/national tour producer and investor currently involved with 23 plays, two movies, and a cast album. His show The Parody Man was produced in Michigan last summer, and his second show will be produced August 30 in Michigan. He has 8 CDs of parodies. His last CD contains a song with contributions from Tony Award-winning producers Ken Davenport, Rachel Sussman, Scott Abrams, Mary Maggio, and Ellen’s Stardust Diner artistic director Scott Barbarino. Tony Award-winning director Michael Mayer once said to him after hearing his CDs, “you are very funny.”

Broadway’s Hidden Hits – August 24 at 9:30pm

Welcome to Broadway’s Hidden Hits, a high-energy night celebrating the Broadway songs that get overshadowed while others go viral—the ones you suddenly remember and go, “wait, how do I know this?” These are the forgotten favorites sitting just outside the spotlight, waiting to hit harder than the trends you’ve heard a hundred times. Produced by Michael Moretti and Jaxon Keller, you’ll hear music from Broadway shows such as Parade, Wicked, Sunset Boulevard, and more.

It’s not the biggest hits of Broadway, it’s the ones that live in your memory and surprise you all over again. If you’ve ever said “why don’t they ever sing this one?,” this is your show. Music direction by Jorden Amir.

Adam Pascal & Anthony Rapp: In Resonance – August 25 – 29 at 7pm

The performance on Aug 29 will also be livestreamed.  Rewind to the 80s with the original stars of RENT in this brand-new show! Featuring eight new songs celebrating the best of the decade, we’re throwing it back with 80s classics and, of course, some RENT favorites.

Broadway legends and longtime friends Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp reunite for a new powerful and personal concert that takes audiences on a journey through the music that has shaped their lives and careers. In Resonance is an electrifying blend of pop, rock, and musical theater—featuring iconic songs that have inspired them, influenced their artistry, and deeply resonated with their shared history.

54 Sings Bruno Mars – August 25 at 9:30pm

“Just The Way You Are,” “Marry You,” “24K Magic,” “Uptown Funk,” “That’s What I Like,” “Grenade” – the music of Grammy Award winner Bruno Mars comes to 54 Below for one night only! Fresh off of the release of his fourth studio album The Romantic, join a cast of some of Broadway’s best as we celebrate the decade-long career of one of the music industry’s most influential artists: Bruno Mars. Produced by Linnae Medeiros.

Featuring Sara Al-Bazali, Baby Byrne, Gabriela Carrillo, Nick T. Thomasina Gross: Eartha! – August 26 at 9:30pm

Catch Thomasina Gross (Mamma Mia!, Hairspray LIVE!) embody Eartha Kitt for one night only at 54 Below in EARTHA!

After a sold-out run of LA shows, Thomasina Gross’ love letter to the iconic Eartha Kitt slinks into New York City, revisiting classics like “I Want To Be Evil,” “Moving Uptown,” and “All By Myself.” This is the evening you’ve been waiting for. $41.50 cover charge (includes $6.50 in fees). $52.50 premium seating (includes $7.50 in fees). $25 food & beverage minimum.

Strength & Fury, Feat. The Furies, Lee Moretti, Anthony Rapp, & More! – August 27 at 9:30pm

Strength & Fury comes to 54 Below for an electrifying evening of rock, theatricality, powerhouse musicianship, and fearless storytelling, blurring the line between rock show and theatrical event. This night features The Furies (Mint 400/Sony: The Orchard) alongside special guests from the Broadway, rock, and pop communities, celebrating resilience, reinvention, and the beautiful danger of taking up space loudly.

Featuring Maria G. Figueroa on cello, Elise Frawley on viola, Faith Jones, Rajané Katurah, AJ Kostromina on drums, Lee Moretti, Anthony Rapp, Maddie Rice, Gabbie Sansone, Gabby Sherba on bass/vocals, and Daniel A Weiss on piano.

Lee Moretti is a guitarist, pianist, bassist, multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter and is the founder of award-winning rock band The Furies (Mint 400 Records/The Orchard). Moretti is also the former touring multi-instrumentalist for Third Eye Blind and a current Broadway performer. She toured with the platinum-selling rock band extensively and appeared with them on many platforms, including “The Tonight Show,” “Good Morning America,” and The Sundance Film Festival. Her Broadway and Off-Broadway credits include Six, MJ The Musical, Anthony Rapp’s Without You, and more.

As a writer, Moretti has frequently produced and co-written with other artists nationally and internationally, frequently toplining as well as providing collaborative environments for charitable efforts, such as the writing, production, and release of “Underwater” by Payge Turner (“The Voice”) and Jace Allen to benefit The Clean Slate Initiative. Moretti has routinely gained praise for her writing and artistic efforts, including Best in State by The New England Music Awards in 2019.

She has had the pleasure of working with Anthony Rapp, Adam Pascal, Jeremy Jordan & Age of Madness, Third Eye Blind, Brandy, Jordin Sparks, Lady A, Delta Rae, SIX on Broadway, MJ The Musical, Safe & Sound, Vanessa Carlton, and many others.

Broadway Gone Bad! – August 28 at 9:30pm

This performance will also be livestreamed.  Broadway’s best villains are ready to take the spotlight at 54 Below in Broadway Gone Bad! Come celebrate your favorite musical theatre antagonists with unforgettable golden age gems to contemporary classics. This show features a dynamic cast that will bring to life the catchy and cunning music that makes these characters so irresistible. Enjoy a night full of iconic songs from your favorite Disney villains to Sondheim’s twisted tunes. Let’s prove once and for all that the “bad guys” always have the best material.

Produced and directed by Marielle Utayde (The Music Man national tour) and Ruby Griffin. Music direction by Jeremy DerMovsesian.

Scott Siegel’s Broadway Musical Brunch! – August 29 at 1pm

And who better to host than NYC’s legendary impresario, Scott Siegel, who has created more than 600 major concert events all over the world. Among Scott’s impressive list of shows are 54 Below’s critically acclaimed, record-breaking Broadway’s Greatest Hits series that has been regularly selling out the club since 2015 (with over 175 editions!), producing, directing, and writing concerts for Michael Feinstein, as well as creating more than 100 major concerts at New York’s historic 1,500 seat Town Hall.

Scott Siegel’s Broadway Musical Brunch: A Musical Mimosa that will make your weekend afternoon feel like a night out on the town! Featuring Hannah Bank, Mar Di Meglio, John Easterlin, Katrina Edwards, Ben Jones, Nick Manna, William Michals, and more stars to be announced!

With a mix of show-stopping performances and untold backstage stories, DEBUT explores the moments that shaped rising talents, from first auditions to opening nights and dream roles to unexpected breakthroughs. Featuring iconic songs from beloved composers, DEBUT is a one-night-only event you won’t want to miss. Debuting new performers to the New York stage, enjoy a night of raw, unforgettable energy, celebrating the triumph of firsts. No matter the stage, we all start somewhere!

Britani Bateman: What About Me? – August 30 & 31 & September 2 at 7pm

Ting ting ting – an announcement: after two sold out evenings last December, Britani Bateman is returning to 54 Below! Straight from Salt Lake City, join Britani as she takes center stage in an unforgettable evening that marks her bold next chapter: cabaret star. For three nights only, this “friendly” high body count haired actress and vocal powerhouse will trade the drama of the screen for the intimacy of New York City’s most legendary cabaret room.

Expect dazzling vocals, dream roles brought to life, surprise guest appearances, some more announcements (plus maybe a reveal or two) as Britani shows the world exactly why everyone’s asking “What about her?”

Joined by special guests John Arthur Hill on Aug 30 only, Tony and Grammy nominee Orfeh on Aug 31 only, and Glam Award winner Lagoona Bloo on Sep 2 only.

Live at 54 Below

54 Below’s new series is designed to make more shows accessible to fans all over the world. “Live from 54 Below” will feature LIVE performances of current shows on the calendar, streamed directly from Broadway’s Living Room. Seven cameras will capture the excitement of being at the venue – all paired with the club’s dramatic lighting and award-winning sound design. To recreate the live experience, all shows will be presented exclusively at the time of performance with an in-house audience and will not be available on demand afterwards.
