Social Media Weighs in On Christmas Movies: It's A Wonderful Life Stands Test of Time
The tree is decorated, the fire burning bright and families are gathering around the television (or laptop) to get into the Christmas spirit. Christmas movies that used to be available once - yes once - per year are now as easy as clicking that Netflix or Hulu button on the remote. And social media is weighing in on its favorite Christmas movies.
Over the past month, more than 400,000 social posts have mentioned a specific Christmas movie, but the chatter is heating up, with nearly 110,000 of those posts taking place in the past week, according to international social media analytics firm Talkwalker.
In these past seven days, the top five mentioned movies are It's a Wonderful Life (21,535 mentions), Love Actually (19,129), Die Hard (17,550), Elf (17,255) and HOME ALONE (14,125).
