For too long American Theatre has been centered on white-led hierarchy and storytelling inherent to racist capitalism, but at T1 they strive to make the world they want to see on and off their stages. As announced earlier this season, going forward T1 will become a pipeline for Artistic Directors who understand the BIPOC experience to create, build and ultimately lead larger institutions.
This February, Paper Kite Arts will be launching a new series of virtual performing arts classes for students aged 10 to adult, kicking off with two free classes on February 6: Bring It!, a performance class for students 10-18 (1 - 2 pm ET) and Songwriting Structure for adults and teens (2:30 - 3:30 pm ET).
