Spire Center to Host 3rd Plymouth Rock Assurance Jazz Fest, 5/27-29

Plymouth's Spire Center for Performing Arts proudly presents the third annual Plymouth Rock Assurance Jazz Fest throughout Memorial Day Weekend, Friday, May 27 through Sunday, May 29, at 25 ½ Court Street, Plymouth.  Jazz Fest 2016 is produced by Johnny Souza, through the generous sponsorship of Plymouth Rock Assurance Company and Eastern Bank.  Special guest jazz radio host Eric Jackson serves as master of ceremonies for Friday and Saturday's events.
WAM Theatre to Kick Off Fresh Takes Reading Series with THE LAST WIFE

Disrespect Towards Hingham High Drama Reveals Underlying Issues Within School Culture

Last month, cast members of Hingham High School Drama Club's The Shuddersome Tales of Poe performed at two in-school assemblies in preparation for the first round of Festival, a state-wide event hosted by the Massachusetts Educational Theatre Guild. Though the first assembly went off without a hitch, there were reportedly 'obnoxious shouts echoed from students across the auditorium when the house lights were turned off.' The comments were described by one student at the assembly as 'sexual, derogatory, and 'homophobic.'
