ImprovBoston rings in 2018 with a New Year's Eve marathon of six fully improvised comedy celebrations chocked-full of improvised scenes, quirky characters, and audience participation, guaranteeing 2017 is a year to remember. Then on New Year's Day, 100 comics take to the ImprovBoston stage for two minutes each to deliver their first new, never-before-told jokes of 2018 in "100 First Jokes."

ImprovBoston's all star cast delivers a laugh-til-it-hurts New Year's Eve comedy marathon in two acts, complete with party hats, favors, and interactive comedy countdowns. The family and all ages shows feature Boston's best family-friendly comedians. ImprovBoston's roster of New Year's Eve shows have a tradition of selling out every year, so comedy lovers are encouraged to purchase their tickets in advance.

"Our fast-paced, interactive comedy countdowns will create lasting memories while ringing in the new year with edgy, in-your-face laughs," says ImprovBoston Artistic Director Mike Descoteaux. Theater-goers will start the new year off right with a never-before-seen, improvised show whose elite cast members take hilarious risks and push comedy boundaries.

On New Year's Day, 100 New England comics take to the ImprovBoston stage with less than 120 seconds each for their first new, never-before-told jokes of 2018 in "100 First Jokes." Fifty comics perform their edgiest new material at 7:30PM, and 50 more comics take to the stage at 9:30PM for an encore of gut-busting laughs.

"There's nothing quite like witnessing the birth of a brand new joke. Some are cute. Some are ugly. Some are brilliant. All are welcomed into the world on our stage in front of a live, packed audience," says ImprovBoston Artistic Director Mike Descoteaux. "Taking risks and laughing hard kicks off the year the ImprovBoston way."
