I think they broke it last week so they re-broke it this week and will break it again this week.
I assume they recouped or plan to around closing. Either way very happy for this incredible revival.

I find it interesting that the average ticket price for Back to the Future keeps going down. I guess they probably had a lot of comps this week, but I'm curious to see how it'll pick back up again.

My guess the extreme heat kept some people away from the theatre. But this week's grosses do provide some insights.
This past week, Back to the Future held a gala night which was most definitely highly comped. Plus I'm sure the critics have been in attendance at a number of these performances. Still strong numbers and I anticipate the show to stay in the million-dollar club throughout the summer, possibly lag slightly in the fall, then pick right back up for a juggernaut holiday season.
At this point, both A Beautiful Noise and Once Upon a One More Time are going to have to make a call. I could see ABN making a run to try their new fall schedule but I don't see it lasting past New Years.
I think there is a decent chance of both Shucked and Some Like It Hot making it to the end of the year but SLIH is the one teetering the most on the chances of closing before the year is out. Both these shows were my favorites of the past season and I really hope they can keep it going just a little longer.

That's incredible for Parade! A surprisingly big bump for Grey House for its final week. Here Lies Love is trending in the right direction too.
On the flip side, OUAOMT is still weak and A Beautiful Noise is looking really rough. Also Shucked and SLIH are looking pretty underwhelming for the middle of summer.

Overall,
- So so so happy to see HLL grosses up, and PARADE absolutely slaying.
- Holding on for SLIH and Shucked, as I loved them both so much. Thinking SHUCKED has a better chance of staying alive longer, but think some stunt casting could help.
- THE COTTAGE and THE SHARK IS BROKEN both are starting low in terms of grosses. Hopefully WOM can help them a bit, but TSIB still at least has time to make changes.
- OUAOMT is on its death bed, sadly. I can't believe it's taking this long to close it, as sad as it is.
- Sad to lose GREY HOUSE because I loved it, but it was an odd show to choose for the summer

I sure hope Parade recoups. (Who saw this coming in mid-January?) JRB deserves a financial hit for once.
Some Like It Hot has been so unpredictable for so long now, for better and for worse. Can it afford to run much longer in NY like this?

Grey House likely had to do with Metcalf's schedule. But with the strike going on, who knows know.
Glad to see Kimberly Still chugging along and hopefully they recoup. And happy for Here Lies Love. Interested to see Back to the Future's numbers as they just squeezed out a $1M and they likely have a high running cost.

The producers of A Beautiful Noise are banking on the new Fall schedule to boost up their grosses. I just think their target audience avoids NYC during the summer. If their grosses don't go up come September, it'll close in October.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

I don’t think they can wait that long. If I owned that theater and saw 50% capacities like that, I’d be invoking that stop clause so quick

Does anyone know the running cost for ABN? It's always been a bit of an anomaly to me since the average ticket price has been fairly high despite lower attendance, so it seems like it's doing alright if you don't look at the attendance percentage.

An interesting week. Great for Parade, Here Lies Love, Lion King, Kimberly Akimbo, Just For Us and Good Night Oscar. Not so great for Some Like it Hot, Back to the Future, Once Upon a Once More Time, and A Beautiful Noise. A mixed bag for a lot of others.
Interesting to note that both SIX and Mormon were shut out of the $1 mil club this month. I don't think either will be closing anytime soon since they've both recouped and are definitely still turning a profit each week. But they definitely have softened a bit.
Shucked remains an enigma to me. Does anyone know it's weekly operating costs? I have no clue how well it's doing!

Shucked's operating budget is somewhere between $600K-$650K

Thrilled for Parade, Kimberly Akimbo and Good Night Oscar.
I'm worried Some Like it Hot, Once Upon a Once More Time, and A Beautiful Noise.
The big surprise is Back to the Future. After that $2 million first week I assumed this would be a blockbuster. Not so much. Maybe the reviews on Thursday will matter.

I am really wondering if with Phantom gone, it’s driving people towards the other two real classics on Broadway now, Lion King and Wicked. Wicked also had a great week, and Hamilton isn’t in the 2mil club at this point, at least this week.
eta: oh I just saw both shows did 9 performances this week.

I don’t think they can wait that long either, but with KD as the lead producer, logic does not always btain. The Shuberts will let him sit there and waste OPM until the next tenant is ready. The stop clause almost never comes into play.
