I’m not sure if people on here would consider her a name, but the obvious choice, for me, for the adult woman role would be Ana Gasteyer

ORRR. Maybe it’s just a vanity project and making sure the brand looks alive and well and not about making any money?

Aren’t we still expecting a transfer of secret life of bees? At the beginning of this season, it was looking pretty bleak but that’s turning around real quick?

Were they only available for the broadway production? Anyone get a free ticket for San Francisco?
SonofRobbieJ said: "They're going to lean hard into the 'Marian is Winthrop's mother' subtext, right? Cause Marie Mullen won a Tony for playing a middle aged spinster twenty years ago. For her to have a 10-year-old would be some next level miracle of modern science for turn of the century Iowa."
I just wanted to make sure this reply didn’t slide! THIS! It’s posts like this that I love Broadwayworld oh so much.

I’m sure Warner Bros would be ecstatic to finally have a hit broadway show on their hands. Lol. I wonder if they would ever consider filming the stage show for their streaming service...

I think enough people watch Younger to make Sutton Foster somewhat of a draw. I’m sure middle aged white women from New Jersey will be all over this, because of Suttons involvement.
VotePeron said: "The amount of shows making more money than Frozen must have Disney seeing red. Maybe they shouldn’t have fired the original team, then they’d at least have a good show. "
And they wouldn’t have had a 30 million capitalization cost. I agree with Ermengarde that the sequel will help bring the broadway show back into the limelight, but for how long will that last?
GiantsInTheSky2 said: "I wonder if past rumors of other shows going to the West End (but never actually materialized) were plans of getting the shows filmed for release. "
Jordan Catalano said: "Ill never be mad at a show being filmed for release but I hate that they’re Now always with the closing casts. "
With this it’s not even the closing cast, though. The west end cast finished up about a week ago. Seems like they just brought in Ainsley, Isabelle and co for one performance or perhaps a week of filming. Isn’t that how newsies did it?

Pure speculation, but I saw John Bolton was a recent follower of Carolee and Analisa on Instagram. Could he be the new Horace?
batboysings said: "Interestingly the show was filmed in London last night, but using a cast made up from the Broadway, US tour and Australian companies, plus the London ensemble. Presumably for a cinematic release like "Newsies"?"
Perhaps they are only bringing back Mary Poppins to do the same thing. With the new streaming service, I think I can see Disney filming quite a few of their stage works.

But random, but when I saw Come From Away in Chicago the other week, it was it’s final performance and I remember seeing a huge line of Clark Transfer trucks extending all the way from the theatre to all the way past the south loop on Roosevelt road. Just thinking about the cost of hiring those truck drivers must make a huge dent every week in the budget.
