Was Evan Hansen punished enough for his sin? Aug 14

That’s also why they keep casting Evan younger. The smaller, younger, and more fragile he looks, the easier it is to empathize with him.

I also heard that since the poorly reviews of Flamingo Kid, it’s future is uncertain

I’ve heard Bees is doing London in the fall so not expecting that.
From Off Broadway, I think The Wrong Man is Broadway aimed and could come in and depending on how Soft Power does at Tbe Public, that could transfer. Some have mentioned A Strange Loop and Octet but I doubt those will transfer.

I think the fact that it’s already been on tour and made a lot of money that way. So really it’s just a reinvestment. Plus, they don’t have to pay for sets or development or any of that. And if the Longacre was gonna sit empty anyway, I think it’s not the stupidest idea. Also, another option for families that’s not Disney (and Disney prices) is always welcome.

I did the $99 partial view and it t was a great seat. Only missed a few unimportant things and it was great to be so close. A lot better than I was expecting for this price at this show.

I am unsure how this will turn out but I must say I really enjoy the concept album. I’m curious how it will translate to the stage and if they will try to make it more relevant in some way cause right now it feels like it might just be a story where we know the ending from the beginning. I also hope they give the female character some more agency. Either way, with this creative team and cast, I’m excited to see what they do with it.
I love seeing stuff Off-Broadway cause sometimes you

Molly Hager of the Waitress ensemble is in a two person band called Molly and the Memphis Thunder. They just released an EP.
It's not a bio musical, it's a musical using her music catalog.

I think it’s important to note that those 2009 was the height of the recession so it makes sense things were closing. I agree that closings are a part of the nature of the beast but it doesn’t seem like there are as many shows waiting in the wings to go into these theatres

I thought Isaac was the weak link in Once On This Island so I’m not really feeling too excited by this.

Was there tonight for the first preview and had a great time. This musical is a campy-filled fun time so don’t think about it too hard. The music is stellar and the score is easy to bop to. Of course there are some things that need tightening and work but I felt it was in good shape. The cast is insane. The voices, the dancing, the acting, no weak link in the entire cast.
This show feels so specific and niche that I don’t know what happens to this show after this run or what their goal

Revisited on Sunday and loved it just as much sober as I did drunk.
