Take eight one-act plays, add 13 versatile student actors, and you have the recipe for a great evening of fun and laughter when CCBC Catonsville Academic Theatre performs playwright David Ives' collection of short, comic plays produced as 'All in the Timing.' The plays will be presented at 8 p.m. March 14 and 15, 3 p.m. March 16, 10 a.m. March 17 and 1 p.m. March 18 in the Center for the Arts at CCBC Catonsville, 800 S. Rolling Road. Children's Playhouse of Maryland to Offer ASL Performance of ALICE IN WONDERLAND, JR., 3/9

Children's Playhouse of Maryland's spring 2014 production of Disney's 'Alice In Wonderland, Jr.' showcases the talents of thirty student actors from Baltimore City, Baltimore and Harford Counties. Performances are 1 p.m. the weekends of March 1-2, 8-9, and 15 -16 with an additional 4 p.m. performance on March 9 in the Administration Building Lecture Hall at CCBC Essex, 7201 Rossville Blvd. The 1 p.m. show on Sunday, March 9, will be sign language interpreted by CCBC students in the Interpreter Preparation program. Tickets are $10 general admission and are available from the CCBC Box Office, 443-840-2787 (ARTS) [Hours: Tuesday - Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.] or online at www.cpmarts.org. First Annual UMD Black Theatre Symposium Set for 3/1

Performers, playwrights, designers and scholars from across the Washington region will converge at the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center for a day-long dialogue intended to challenge assumptions about race and the future of Black theatre on Saturday, March 1, 2014. Hosted by the University of Maryland School of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies (TDPS) and the African Continuum Theatre Company, the First Annual Black Theatre Symposium will explore the topic through panel discussions, workshops and performances and is open to anyone interested in Black theatre.

Jason Tramm to Lead LAM's Broadway in Annapolis Production of ONCE UPON A MATTRESS, 2/14-15

Jason Tramm will conduct the Live Arts Maryland's mid-winter Broadway in Annapolis production of 'Once Upon a Mattress,' Friday, February 14 (7:30 p.m.) and Saturday, February 15 (8 p.m.) at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts. Tramm, who serves as principal conductor and Artistic Director of the MidAtlantic Opera and is widely recognized in the Tri State and MidAtlantic region as a conductor of classical and sacred music, made his conducting debut with Live Arts Maryland last October. In this return engagement Tramm will lead the Annapolis Chamber Orchestra and the Annapolis Chorale in Mary Rodgers beloved musical comedy, with lyrics by Marshall Barer and book by Jay Thompson, Dean Fuller, and Marshall Barer.
