Taylor Brethauer-Hamling

Taylor Brethauer-Hamling

Taylor Brethauer-Hamling is a Maryland native with a writing, design, video production, and social media background. She graduated from Manhattan College in May of 2019, receiving a Bachelor's degree in Communication. While at Manhattan, she double concentrated in journalism and broadcasting, along with double minoring in film studies and digital media art. She also served as editor-in-chief of the college's student newspaper, The Quadrangle.

No stranger to the theater, Taylor first got the Broadway bug after seeing her first musical, The King and I, at the Hippodrome in Baltimore. After her experience with school productions, she started out in the industry during her under-grad years as a digital intern for The Broadway League, where she oversaw content creation for opening nights, press events, and more on the League's social pages in the spring of 2019.

Now, as the social media manager for BroadwayWorld, she oversees the site's social content on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok. She also heads up the student blogger program and its social pages on Facebook and Instagram. During the shutdown, she has also taken on the role of co-producer of the Next on Stage virtual competition, designer for the Theatre Shop, and helps out with talent coordinating for Stage Door.
