Presented by New York's iTheatrics and Atlanta's Theater of the Stars and sponsored by leading theatrical licensor Music Theatre International (MTI), Disney Musicals and NBC, the Junior Theater Festival is the world's largest musical theater festival dedicated to groups working with elementary, middle and high school students.

GLEE returns from its holiday hiatus tomorrow night, January 17, and according to TVGuide.com, creator RYan Murhy has big plans for the rest of the third season. Murphy revealed that he will collaborate with Bee Gees' Barry Gibb for an April episode that will focus on the Saturday night fever soundtrack.

Texas' Alley Theatre is currently presenting a revised version of production of The Toxic Avenger starring Tony nominee Constantine Maroulis, and featuring several new songs and revised book by the Tony Award-winning creative team of Memphis, Bon Jovi founding member and keyboardist David Bryan and Joe DiPietro. John Rando (Tony Winner for Urinetown) returns to the Alley to reinvent his hilarious 2009 Off-Broadway staging of The Toxic Avenger, and according to an interview with chron.com, he's hoping to squeeze the new version of the show into the 2012 Broadway season before the dealine for this year's Tony Awards.

The Public Theater will begin previews of GOB SQUAD'S KITCHEN (You've Never Had It So Good), devised and performed by the German/British Collective GOB SQUAD on Thursday, January 19. A hit at last year's Under the Radar Festival, GOB SQUAD'S KITCHEN will run through Sunday, February 5 in the Newman Theater with an official press opening on Monday, January 23.

Broadway's Betty Buckley will bring her solo show 'Ah, Men! The Boys of Broadway!' to Sunset Center in Carmel, CA on February 4.

According to MTV News, Tony winners Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey are busy writng the score for the movie musical, 'Sweet Valley High.' Based on the book series of the same title, the movie will inlcude a screenplay by Diablo Cody.

Signature Theatre Company presents BLOOD KNOT, which is the first play in the Residency One: Athol Fugard Series, runs January 31 - March 11, 2012 with a February 16th opening night. BLOOD KNOT is the first of three Fugard shows Signature will present this season, and is the inaugural production in The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at the Company's new Frank Gehry-designed home Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between Dyer and 10th Avenues). Preview performances begin February 7 prior to an official press opening of February 14 at Theatre Row's Beckett Theatre (410 West 42nd Street) in Manhattan.

Sierra Boggess, who will play the leading role of "I" in the upcoming Broadway musical REBECCA, and Tam Mutu, who will co-star as her new husband Maxim de Winter, have announced that they are engaged to be married later this year. Boggess and Mutu met and fell in love in London, while performing in the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical Love Never Dies.

GLEE returns from its holiday hiatus on January 17, and in the episode the New Directions start out the new year, which is also the last semester for McKinley High seniors. Will proposes to Emma in a very spectacular way and Sam Evans joins McKinley's synchronized swim team. Preview performances begin tonight for Roundabout Theatre Company's Look Back in Anger, by John Osborne, directed by Sam Gold. The cast features Adam Driver as "Cliff," Sarah Goldberg as "Allison," Charlotte Parry as "Helena," and Matthew Rhys as "Jimmy."

Classic Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick, will next season present new production of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Tony Award-winning musical PASSION, to be directed by John Doyle (the Tony Award-winning revivals of Sondheim's Sweeney Todd and Company). PASSION is slated to begin performances in February, 2013.

Michael Attenborough will direct Eduardo de Filippo's Filumena in a new English version by Tanya Ronder running at the Almeida from 15 March - 12 May 2012, with press night on 22 March at 7pm. Designs are by Robert Jones, with lighting by Tim Mitchell and sound by John Leonard. Filumena is sponsored by Pinsent Masons.
