The Winner, Sydney Piano Competition at Pilbeam Theatre

The Sydney International Piano Competition of Australia is internationally recognised as one of the world’s great piano competitions for up and coming pianists both individually and as soloists with orchestras hroughout the world. Thirty six are selected from live auditions and the prizewinners are announced on the evening of 21 July 2012 in the Concert Hall of the Sydney Opera House. As well as the cash prize there are concerts throughout Australia and also in the USA, Japan, Hong Kong, Germany, Korea, Singapore and the UK. Previous competitors have been widely lauded on the world stage including Alexander Korsantiya, Piers Lane and, 2008 winner, Konstantin Shamray.
