Aurora Theatre continues our crowd pleasing concert series, Swing Night at Aurora Theatre featuring the Metro Jazz Club, with a tribute to music featured on television and in movies, on Saturday, April10 at 8:00 PM. The Metro Jazz Club is a smokin'-hot 17 piece band accompanied by a sultry chanteuse, the magnificent Maxine Cummins. Your hostess for the evening will be Aurora Theatre Associate Producer Ann-Carol Pence.

Music has always provided a key component to the way we enjoy film and television, even silent movies were not really silent. They were underscored by great music. The Metro Jazz Club has put together a set of music that highlights big band standards that have played a prominent role in film as well as a big band takes on some unexpected melodies.

Ann-Carol Pence, Aurora Theatre Associate Producer, "Music is the universal language, and these songs tell the story of our history as a culture. We should never stop playing or hearing them as they were meant to be heard, live. As a person who has dedicated my life to music, I am thrilled this concert series has been so well received, and I can't think of a better way to end our first full season of concerts."
