The Paley Center for Media Screens PLAYING FOR TIME 11/19, Redgrave To Appear

The Paley Center for Media will be screening the award-winning film PLAYING FOR TIME this weekend, free to our members and included in general admission. Vanessa herself will be attending the Sunday screening. Following Sunday's screening, Vanessa, co-star Jane Alexanderand filmmaker Linda Yellen will be discussing the groundbreaking film and the political firestorm it created.
Playing for Time Screenings
Scripted by playwright Arthur Miller, Playing for Time dramatizes the true story of how singer Fania Fénelon and a group of women created a makeshift orchestra in hopes of escaping extermination at Auschwitz. Vanessa Redgrave and Jane Alexander both won Emmy Awards for their performances. (1980; 150 minutes)
