Quinn Inc., a contemporary company, debuts Fall 13 in their New York City concept store on 181 Orchard Street in the Lower East Side.

QUINN introduces its original design concepts and signature effortless style with its fall 2013 collection, "Old is New".

Inspired by Old World art and architecture, the design team created a ready-to-wear collection that is uniquely modern. The influence of Gothic cathedrals and surrealistic portraits can be seen throughout the line-from the rich color palette reminiscent of stained-glass windows to the symmetrical prints that mimic intricate columns and luminescent chandeliers. The line takes a playful turn with its animal intarsia sweaters that depict a pair of geometric swans and a rippling portrait of a tiger.

"The line offers a new perspective," said design director Bree Telford. "We reinterpreted traditional stitches in knitwear and created organic, intertwining cables, geometric intarsias and modern fair isles. These small details make the garments really special."

With this collection, QUINN emphasizes its commitment luxury. Luxe materials, like cashmere, silk, leather and wool, are found throughout the line. Beautiful mouliné yarns in colors exclusive to QUINN are knitted into cashmere overpieces, dolman-sleeved sweaters and tapered dip-dye pants.

"Our moulinés and printed fabrics are unique to the brand, so there is nothing similar to them out there in the market right now," said Telford. "The exclusivity of our products reinforces QUINN as a luxury brand."

Prices range from $50 for a superfine wool scarf, $120 for silk shirts, $150 for boots, $188 for graphic sweaters, $198 for cashmere novelty sweaters, $225 for cashmere dresses, and $800 for leather pieces.

Quinn has succeeded in creating an original and artistic atmosphere: home fragrances fill the store with a soft, woody aroma and cutting-edge music plays in the background while black and white films are projected onto the walls.

"Everything from the store décor and layout to our offering of specialty products were carefully selected to appeal to the Quinn customer," said Lauren Foster, digital marketing coordinator. "The great thing about our brick-and-mortar stores is that we are able to deliver our lifestyle message as a personal, sensory experience, as we continue to reach customers digitally through social media and our e-commerce website."

Located in the Lower East Side, an up-and-coming area full of independent retailers and restaurants, the Quinn flagship store resides near The Hoodie Shop, Reed Space and Epaulet. The area is fitting for the brand's effortless, innovative image and its casual, easy-to-wear apparel.
