Popejoy Hall Presents Simon And Garfunkel Tribute

One of the most iconic folk-rock duos are paid tribute in Live in Central Park [Revisited]: Simon and Garfunkel. Award-winning artists Lee Lessack and Johnny Rodgers recreate that unforgettable concert on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at 3 p.m.

On September 19, 1981, Simon & Garfunkel held a reunion concert in Central Park. This reunion was their first performance together since parting ways in 1970, making the concert a paramount moment for their fans. It became the seventh largest concert in America's history with over 500,000 audience members in attendance. Performers Lee Lessack and Johnny Rodgers recreate that historic performance.

Their masterful command of music allows them to perform the dulcet harmonies, soft acoustics, and signature harmonies that Simon and Garfunkel are known for. The twenty-one song set list includes hits like "Mrs. Robinson," "The Sound of Silence," "Homeward Bound," and "Scarborough Fair."

Lee Lessack pursued concert performance as a career after graduating from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. He tours extensively across the United States and Europe with his graceful baritone voice and has eight albums to his name.

Singer-songwriter, pianist, and Broadway star Johnny Rodgers completes the duo. Among his awards are tours with Liza Minnelli, the Johnny Rodgers band, and multiple song contest awards.
