NY Pops Announces Vintage Attire Contest for Jackson's Cocktail Hour

On November 18 at 8:00pm, Carnegie Hall hosts a vintage attire contest for audience members attending The New York Pops' concert entitled Cheyenne Jackson's Cocktail Hour: Music of the Mad Men Era. During intermission, audience members who come in vintage 1960s Mad Men era attire may have their pictures taken for the contest. The next day, photos will be posted on Carnegie Hall's Facebook page, where fans will "like" their favorite looks. The Grand Prize winner will be awarded a pair of tickets to three New York Pops performances at Carnegie Hall during the 2011-2012 season. Additional prizes will be awarded including Mad Men DVDs, CDs, t-shirts, as well as other New York Pops and Carnegie Hall memorabilia. The performance features The New York Pops, conducted by Music Director Steven Reineke, and guest artist Cheyenne Jackson, star of Broadway, 30 Rock, and Glee, in a cool, swinging program that includes "Feeling Good," "Luck Be a Lady," and "Besame Mucho" at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage.

Contest Rules: A concert ticket to the November 18, 2011 The New York Pops performance-available at carnegiehall.org-is required to participate. Carnegie Hall Facebook fans will vote between November 19-22, 2011, and winners will be announced on November 23, 2011. The only eligible photos will be those taken by the Carnegie Hall official photographer in the lobby at intermission. Fan photos will not be considered. Winners will be contacted via email. Carnegie Hall staff members are not eligible to participate.
