Leslie Odom Jr. is certainly keeping busy after his Tony-winning run on Broadway in HAMILTON.

Variety writes that the actor is in talks to join Kenneth Branagh's new big screen adaptation of Agatha Christie's iconic detective novel MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS. As previously announced, Branagh will star and direct.

Rumors from earlier this summer also had Angelina Jolie in negotiations to join the project in the role of Harriet Hubbard.

Michael Green pens the screenplay, which follows detective Hercule Poirot (Branagh) as he investigates the murder of a wealthy American on a train.

Christie's detective novel, first published in 1934, was brought to the big screen in 1974. The film featured an all-star cast, including Albert Finney, Martin Balsam and George Coulouris.

Odom Jr. is currently making the rounds in support of his new solo album. Aside from HAMILTON, the star has appeared onstage off-Broadway in TICK, TICK... BOOM! and VENICE, and on Broadway in LEAP OF FAITH.

He is a Grammy Award-winner as a principal soloist on HAMILTON's Original Broadway Cast Recording, which won the 2015 Award for Best Musical Theater Album. Leslie's debut solo album, "Leslie Odom, Jr.," was released in June 2016 on S-Curve Records and quickly rose to the top of the Billboard and iTunes Jazz charts.
