"Being Native American, my lens with art and culture has a unique perspective. It's a priority that my pieces, reflect a modern technique mixed with historical and iconic figures to capture a moment in time." - Gage John Lazare

Gage John Lazare is a young Mohawk artist born and raised in Kahnawake, near Montreal, Canada. From a very young age, painting became Gage's favorite hobby. Gage paints because it's a way for him to get his energy out. Lazare's contemporary role models are Jackson Pollock, Alfred Hitchcock and Lee Alexander McQueen. They inspire him to stay true to himself. His canvases represent many mythical figures of Popular Culture, typical of the pop art movement. Gage is now located in New York City where he creates his works along with his collaborations with other artists and designers. For more information, please visit www.gagejohnlazare.com
