When Julianne Hough's Sandy Sandy Dumbrowski and Aaron Tveit's Danny Zuko start reminiscing about their summer lovin' this Sunday night, as FOX's GREASE: LIVE brings Broadway's classic 1950s nostalgia musical to the small screen, they'll be telling a tale sung by thousands of Sandys and Dannys since "Summer Nights" was added to the musical's score when it made its move from Chicago to New York.

The movie pair of Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta may be the world's most famous Sandy and Danny, but the song was introduced in 1972 by Carole Demas and Barry Bostwick.

Bostwick received a Tony nomination for his effort and grabbed the prize in 1977 for starring in the revival of THE ROBBER BRIDEGROOM. Just a few weeks after GREASE's February 14th Broadway opening, Demas premiered the first episode of the enormously popular children's television program, THE MAGIC GARDEN, which she co-hosted with Paula Janis for the next twelve years.

The two were reunited for PBS's GREAT PERFORMANCES in 1985, and it sure looks like they were having a blast recreating their performances of their classic Broadway signature tune.

GREASE: LIVE airs from 7:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed. Joining Julianne Hough and Aaron Tveit are Vanessa Hudgens (Broadway's "Gigi," "Spring Breakers") as iconic bad girl "Rizzo"; Keke Palmer (SCREAM QUEENS, "Masters of Sex") as sassy Pink Lady "Marty Maraschino"; Carlos PenaVega ("Big Time Rush") as "Kenickie," Danny's tough-guy sidekick; multi-Platinum Grammy® Award-nominated singer and songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen as Pink Lady and beauty school dropout "Frenchy"; Kether Donohue ("You're The Worst") as Pink Lady "Jan"; David Del Rio ("Spare Parts," "The Troop") as T-Bird "Putzie; Jordan Fisher as "Doody"; and Andrew Call as "Sonny."
