Cirque Du Soleil Raises Its Iconic Big Top In San Francisco In Preparation For VOLTA

Cirque du Soleil is back in the San Francisco Bay Area! Today, a team of more than 60 men and women worked for several hours to pound pegs, unfurl the canvas, and, finally, hoist more than 100 supporting poles to raise the iconic Big Top at AT&T Park in preparation for the San Francisco engagement of its newest Big Top production, VOLTA. Performances of VOLTA will take place under the Big Top at AT&T Park in San Francisco from Thursday, November 15, 2018 through Sunday, February 3, 2019.

Due to audience demand, Cirque du Soleil also announced today the extension of the San Jose engagement of VOLTA. Performances at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds in San Jose are now scheduled from Wednesday, February 13, 2019 through Sunday, March 10, 2019.

Tickets (starting at $54) for all performances are available now by visiting cirquedusoleil.com/volta or calling 1-877-9CIRQUE (1-877-924-7783). Discover the Hennessy Black VIP Experience package which includes a cocktail reception with open bar and hors d'oeuvres inspired by the show, access to the best seats for greater comfort, complimentary parking and more!

Energetic, urban and contemporary, VOLTA is a captivating voyage of discovery that showcases never-before-seen under the Big Top acrobatics in a visually striking world. Driven by a stirring melodic score, composed by Anthony Gonzalez from the international electronic group M83, and inspired in part by the adventurous spirit that fuels the culture of street sports, VOLTA is a story of transformation. It is about being true to oneself, fulfilling one's true potential, and recognizing one's own power to make it possible. Ultimate freedom comes with self-acceptance, and with the liberation of the judgement of others.
