Chenango River Theatre Hosts One Person Scramble Benefit Golf Tournament 8/22

On Sunday, Aug. 22, at the Genegantslet Golf Course, the Oakdale Mall will sponsor a benefit golf tournament for Chenango River Theatre, the Binghamton area's non-profit, professional theatre company. The tournament features both a $10,000 Hole in One prize and a $2,500 Putting Contest.

For this year's event, a separate flight for golfers 50 and up has been added. The tournament will feature a format unique to the Southern Tier - a one-person scramble. In this format, on every shot, the golfer hits two balls and chooses the best result (including putts). All golfers are automatically entered in both the handicap and gross score divisions in their flight - your score counts in the division in which you finish highest.

Cash prizes totaling $1,500 will be awarded, plus prizes for closest to the pin and longest putt. Early entry fee is $70 ($50 Genegantslet members) and must be received by Aug. 15. Entry fee is $80 after Aug. 15 ($60 Genegantslet members). Entry includes cart, lunch, and a tax-deductible contribution.
