Coney Island USA is pleased to announce the start of the 15th season of it's popular program Burlesque at the Beach!

From its humble beginnings a decade and a half ago, Burlesque at the Beach has expanded to become one of our most popular programs as well as a cornerstone of the Burlesque revival sweeping the globe. The 2011 Season is comprised of over 40 dates from May 5 - September 30th, and runs Thursday evenings at 9pm ($12 admission) and Friday Evenings at 10pm ($15 admission). The series kicks off Thursday May 5th with Wasabassco Burlesque, and will showcase some of New York's best Burlesque talent every week!

Series co-producers The Great Fredini and Bambi the Mermaid will bring you some of the season's most unforgettable moments including the tenth anniversary of a Coney Island favorite... America's Favorite Burlesque Gameshow- This or That! (www.thisorthat.tv) , the show that turns audience members into the stars of the Burlesque stage! This or That! stars The Great Fredini, Julie Atlas Muz, Bambi, Bunny Love, FIsherman along with special guests, and will run on the second Friday of every month beginning Friday, May 13th!

Bambi brings her twisted "over the top" brand of burlesque to the stage twice this summer. On July 29th, Bambi the Mermaid presents "Toddlers in Tiara's" a hilarious send up of child beauty pageants, while August 19th brings "BEEF CURTAINS- the musical"... need we say more?

Burlesque at the Beach also plays host to some of the most ethnically diverse Burlesque troupes in the world. Among this Season's featured shows, this May 19th and 20th will feature Pookie Patootie's "Yellow Fever" a showcase of Asian burlesque performers while June 6th will be the premiere of Nigerian Princess Pat Muko's "Princess Pat presents:" and September 29th will feature "Brown Girls Burlesque"
