MEOW MEOW In Anchorage Postponed Due To Travel Complications

The Anchorage Concert Association's presentation of Meow Meow originally scheduled for March 18 at the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts has been postponed until April 7, 2023, due to complications with travel in and out of Australia. All previously purchased tickets will still be valid for the rescheduled performance.

This evening of musical mastery and artistic performances includes Rossini's comedic overture from The Thieving Magpie, Billy Child's new Violin Concerto No. 2 featuring powerhouse violinist Rachel Barton Pine, and Beethoven's lively Symphony No. 2.

The Anchorage Symphony Orchestra will once again extend an invitation to Alaska high school music students to participate in the 36th annual Mary and Lucian Cassetta Music Scholarship Competition. This year's competition will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 beginning in the late afternoon at the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts. The deadline to submit an application is March 15th.

Anchorage Concert Association has announced that all shows for its 2021/2022 line-up will be on sale November 16 at noon: global guitar phenoms International Guitar Night (Jan 14-15), cutting edge comedians The Second City (Jan.15), ukulele master Jake Shimabukuro (Jan. 29), live storytellers The Moth Mainstage (Feb. 9), Scottish folk powerhouse Talisk (Feb. 11), acapella sensation Straight No Chaser ( Mar. 5), cabaret diva Meow Meow (Mar. 18), folk-roots duo The Small Glories (Mar. 25), quintessential Cajun band BeauSoleil (Apr. 2), Rodgers & Hammerstein's The King and I (April 26-May 1), genre bending Postmodern Jukebox (May 7), and bestselling author David Sedaris (May 15).
