Gateway Playhouse Announces 2007 Schedule

Gateway Playhouse, one of the top ten summer theaters in the United States, will enjoy it's 58th year with a full and versatile schedule of summer entertainment.

Upcoming Events Include:

Cold as Ice: May16-June 17

An ice skating musical seeing its world premiere at Gateway, Cold as Ice stars Olympic Gold Medalist Oksana Baiul and a cast of world class figure skaters in an exhilarating Olympic-themed story.

My Way: June 20-July 8

Featuring nearly sixty songs and some of the greatest music from Arlen, Mercer, Berlin, Rodgers & Hart, Kern, Porter, and many more, My Way is a singing and dancing tribute to some of the most distinguished tunes of all time.

Dreamgirls: July11-28

Now known as an Oscar-winning blockbuster movie, Dreamgirls tells the story of three Chicago girls making it big in the music world. Onstage fireworks and backstage drama ensue.

Gentlemen Prefer Blondes: (Aug 1-Aug 25)

The show famous for the song "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend," not to mention the Marilyn Monroe movie, this comic story of two girls spending time and money with rich gentlemen has been entertaining audiences since the roaring 20's.

CIRQUE DREAMS: Jungle Fantasy: (Aug 23-Sept 8)

Acrobatic, theatric, inventive, and unpredictable, Cirque Dreams: Jungle Fantasy is the newest production from Cirque Productions, set in a colorful, dream world forest.

Urban Cowboy: (Sept 12-29)*

Based on the hit John Travolta movie about a country boy in the big city, Urban Cowboy is revised in musical form, featuring songs by Clint Black, the Charlie Daniels Band, Dixie Chicks, Travis Tritt, Shania Twain, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, and many more. *Pending Release.
