Rashad, Richardson, Schreiber Announce Tony Nods, 5/16

Tony Award-winners Phylicia Rashad, Natasha Richardson and Liev Schreiber will announce nominations for the 60th Annual Tony Awards on Tuesday, May 16th at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts' Bruno Walter Auditorium (111 Amsterdam Avenue).

Celebrating their 60th Anniversary, the Tony Awards will be broadcast in a live three-hour ceremony from Radio City Music Hall on the CBS television network Sunday, June 11th.

Rashad is a Tony Award-winner for A Raisin in the Sun, Richardson for Cabaret and Schreiber for Glengarry Glen Ross.

The Tonys are presented by the League of American Theatres and Producers and the American Theatre Wing. At the League, Gerald Schoenfeld is Chairman and Jed Bernstein is President. At the Wing, Sondra Gilman is Chairman, Doug Leeds is President and Howard Sherman is Executive Director. For Tony Award Productions, Elizabeth I. McCann is Managing Producer and Joey Parnes is Coordinating Producer.


Ricky Kirshner and Glenn Weiss/White Cherry Entertainment are Executive Producers of the 2006 Tony Awards. Mr. Weiss will also serve as Director of the 2006 Tony Awards.
