Outer Critics Circle, the organization of writers covering New York theatre for out-of-town newspapers, national publications and other media beyond Broadway, is proud to report that Broadway stars Victoria Clark and John Lloyd Young will publicly announce the nominees for the 2006-07 season on Monday, April 23rd (11AM) at the historic Algonquin Hotel (59 West 44th Street). Outer Critics Circle will post award nominations in 23 categories and are the first major Broadway/Off-Broadway award nominees of the New York theater season.  

Victoria Clark's most recent credit was her featured role in the celebrated City Center Encore production of Follies after having won the 2005 Tony Award, Outer Critics Circle Award and Drama Desk Award  for her starring role in The Light in the Piazza.  Her other Broadway credits How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying, Titanic, Urinetown and Cabaret.

John Lloyd Young currently stars as Frankie Valli in the Broadway sensation Jersey Boys, a role for which he won the  2006 Tony Award, Outer Critics Circle Award, Drama Desk Award and Theatre World Award.  His other recent credits include: Michael Healey's The Drawer Boy with John Mahoney at the Paper Mill Playhouse as well as featured roles at the McCarter Theatre and Kennedy Center.                                                               

Celebrating its 57th season of bestowing awards of excellence in the field of theater, the Outer Critics Circle is an association with members affiliated with more than ninety newspapers, magazines, radio and television stations, and theatre publications in America and abroad.

The winners of the following categories will be announced on Monday, May 14th and the annual awards ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 24th (4PM) at the legendary Sardi's Restaurant.
