Based on the novels The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers and The Return of the King by J.R.R. Tolkien

The RTĚ Concert Orchestra is proud to present The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers for one night only, Sunday 28 October 2012 at the O2, Dublin. Tickets are on sale now from usual outlets priced Ě39.50 to Ě69.50 (additional service charges may apply).

Following the phenomenal success of The Fellowship of the Ring last year, the full RTĚ Concert Orchestra and chorus now perform to The Two Towers, the second epic fantasy film in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Beneath an immense screen, the orchestra and singers will bring Howard ShoreĚs music of Middle Earth uniquely to life in what promises to be another unforgettable occasion.

The RTĚ Concert Orchestra has had a special place in Irish musical life for over 60 years, with a range that sees them equally at home in classical, opera, jazz, film, rock and traditional music. In recent years the RTĚ CO has developed a popular series of film screenings with live performance of the orchestral score. Highlights of these screenings to date have included The Wizard of Oz, Casablanca, Psycho, Bugs Bunny on Broadway and of course last yearĚs massively successful The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.
