Marin Shakespeare Company to Present ROMEO AND JULIET, AN IDEAL HUSBAND this Month

Marin Shakespeare Company wraps up its 2014 season with performances of "Romeo and Juliet" at 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19 and "An Ideal Husband" performances at 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20; 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21; 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26 and Saturday, Sept. 27. Marin Shakespeare season ends with a final performance of "Romeo and Juliet" at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28.

Marin Shakespeare Company performances are presented outdoors at Forest Meadows Amphitheatre, 890 Belle Avenue, Dominican University of California, in San Rafael. The amphitheater opens one hour prior to show time for picnicking. Audiences are encouraged to bring picnics or purchase snacks at the Theatre Cafe. Warm clothing, jackets and blankets are recommended for evening performances. Parking is free.

Marin Shakespeare closes its 25th Silver Season with an opportunity for audience members to win tickets to one of the company's 2015 summer productions. Audience members are encouraged to take "selfies" at Shakespearean photo stand-ins located in the amphitheater and upload their photo entry on the contest link featured on Marin Shakespeare Company's Facebook page. All photo entries will be entered in a drawing. Marin Shakespeare will draw a photo winner who will receive two complimentary tickets to a 2015 Marin Shakespeare production of their choice. Photo entries can be submitted beginning Sept. 19. The deadline for submissions is 12 p.m. Sept. 29, 2014.
