Gingold Theatrical Group (David Staller, Artistic Director) will continue the 15th Season of Project Shaw, a special series of evenings of plays that embrace human rights and free speech.

When James Rado, Gerome Ragney and Galt MacDermot''s musical Hair debuted in 1967 and transferred to Broadway a year later, they made history.

2019 has come and gone, and we are reflecting on those we have lost in the Broadway and theatre communities throughout the year.

Next up on The Players Club of Swarthmore's Mainstage is Noel Coward's (Private Lives, Design For Living, Present Laughter, Blithe Spirit) enduring comedy farce, Hay Fever. The play is set in the English country house of the Bliss family in the 1920's. Their plans of a quiet weekend with invited guests come to an exhausting and hilarious finale. The award-winning Equity professional East Lynne Theater Company turns 40 in 2020, and is proud to announce its 2020 Mainstage Season. As usual, it includes classic gems, a New Jersey premiere, and a radio-style show. This year's theme is 'Challenging Change.'

Three playwrights present excerpts from holiday plays at a networking lunch sponsored by the CT Chapter of the League of Professional Theatre Women.

Justin Sayre returns to Joe's Pub with another edition of their long-running Queer Variety Show, The Meeting. Sayre is celebrating 10 years since the formation of The Meeting in 2009, the show went on to become the longest running LGBTQ variety show in New York. Sayre will offer stories and songs with a host of downtown royalty, from Angela DiCarlo, Nadia Quinn, Amber Martin, and Phillip Taratula as Pam Goldberg on Friday night, December 6th. And Nathan Lee Graham, Natalie Joy Johnson, Dane Terry, Zachary Clause and Shane O'Neill as Jane Johnson. Tracy Stark will be Musical Director.

Their fall season closes with music of Cavalli, Couperin, DeVisée, Legrenzi, Montéclair, and Purcell, in alternation with traditional North African Taksim improvisations in this original program previously presented by the Sorbonne and NYU Villa La Pietra in Florence, Italy. 

Next up on The Players Club of Swarthmore's Main Stage is Annie, often called a?oeAmerica's Happiest Musicala??. With book by Thomas Meehan, music by Charles Strouse, and lyrics by Martin Charnin, Annie has won seven Tony Awards. Based on the Harold Gray comic strip' Little Orphan Annie,' Annie features all the hits you know and love including; a?oeTomorrow,a?? a?oeHard Knock Lifea?? and a?oeFully Dresseda??. A weekend in the English countryside goes deathly awry with an explosive murder in this spell-binding mystery. The Hollow is directed by Heather Timberman. Next up on the Second Stage, The Players Club of Swarthmore's Children's Series presents, Junie B. Jones The Musical. A delightful adaptation of four of Barbara Park's best-selling books, Junie B. Jones The Musical, is brought to life in a genuinely comical (and not strictly-for kids) musical. With lyrics by Marcy Heisler and music by Zinia Goldrich, Junie B. Jones The Musical is delightfully entertaining. Meg Cranney is both the director and choreographer and Alyssa Cherewaty is the music director.      

In its opening show of the 2019-2020 season, The Players Club of Swarthmore presents Mamma Mia, the ultimate feel- good musical comedy. Mamma Mia is woven around many of ABBA's greatest hits, featuring music and lyrics by Benny Anderson and Bjorn Ulvaeus and book by Catherine Johnson. Mamma Mia is directed by Ryan Goulden with musical direction by Nora McDonnell and choreography by Joanne McBride. Tickets are available online at www.pcstheater.org. A developmental lab is being held next week for a new musical titled SuperYou.

Schoolhouse Rock Live!, a pop culture phenomenon takes the stage at The Players Club of Swarthmore's Children's Series Aug. 10-18. Based on the hit Saturday morning cartoon series seen on ABC-TV throughout the '70s, '80s, and '90s, Schoolhouse Rock Live! teaches history, grammar, math, and more to a whole new generation. Academic subjects will never seem boring again when presented through megahits like Conjunction Junction, Just a Bill, Interplanet Janet or Three is a Magic Number. Directed by Jason Boyer, music director is Dan Matarazzo and choreographer is Caitlin Naylor.

Celebration Theatre, the nation's longest running LGBTQ theatre, will produce Justin Sayre's Ravenswood Manor, A Camp-Horror-Soap-Opera in October 2019, for a six-week run. Directed by Tom DeTrinis and Jessica Hanna, Ravenswood Manor is an episodic theatrical event with a new episode of the ever-unfolding adventure premiering each of the six-week run.

The New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players' annual Gala honored multiple Tony Award-winning author-composer and show business tour de force Rupert Holmes, on Wednesday, June 12, at the city's The Players, 16 Gramercy Park South.

Al Dente Productions will present a salon industry reading of the new romantic comedy Alfo Learns to Love by Vincent Amelio. Directed by Dennis Grimaldi, the cast will feature Warren Bub, Peter Evangelista, Armen Garo and Bridget Winder. Pat Addiss presents PLACES! The Alla Nazimova Story as part of HERE's Summer SubletSeries: Co-Op in New York City on the Mainstage. This multimedia solo show about one of Broadway's biggest stars, silent film legend and trailblazing lesbian iconoclast, Alla Nazimova was written and performed by Romy Nordlinger, Original score and sound design by Nick T.
