Players Club of Swarthmore Presents NEXT TO NORMAL

Next up on The Players Club of Swarthmore's Main Stage is Next to Normal, a moving and intimate musical about the devastating effects of mental illness on a contemporary suburban family. Next to Normal features book and lyrics by Brian Yorkey (If/then, The Last Ship). Music by Tom Kitt (High Fidelity, From Up Here). Next to Normal won three Tony Awards and the Pulitzer Prize for drama. Next to Normal is directed by Ed Robins. Music direction is by Raquel Garcia. Choreography is by Julianna Schauerman. The play is set in the English country house of the Bliss family in the 1920's. Their plans of a quiet weekend with invited guests come to an exhausting and hilarious finale. Justin Sayre Returns With THE MEETING - Celebrating 10 Years In Cabaret at Joe's Pub

Justin Sayre returns to Joe's Pub with another edition of their long-running Queer Variety Show, The Meeting. Sayre is celebrating 10 years since the formation of The Meeting in 2009, the show went on to become the longest running LGBTQ variety show in New York. Sayre will offer stories and songs with a host of downtown royalty, from Angela DiCarlo, Nadia Quinn, Amber Martin, and Phillip Taratula as Pam Goldberg on Friday night, December 6th. And Nathan Lee Graham, Natalie Joy Johnson, Dane Terry, Zachary Clause and Shane O'Neill as Jane Johnson. Tracy Stark will be Musical Director.

Salon/Sanctuary Concerts to Present CARTHAGE CONQUER'D

Next up on the Second Stage, The Players Club of Swarthmore's Children's Series presents, Junie B. Jones The Musical. A delightful adaptation of four of Barbara Park's best-selling books, Junie B. Jones The Musical, is brought to life in a genuinely comical (and not strictly-for kids) musical. With lyrics by Marcy Heisler and music by Zinia Goldrich, Junie B. Jones The Musical is delightfully entertaining. Meg Cranney is both the director and choreographer and Alyssa Cherewaty is the music director.

In its opening show of the 2019-2020 season, The Players Club of Swarthmore presents Mamma Mia, the ultimate feel- good musical comedy. Schoolhouse Rock Live!, a pop culture phenomenon takes the stage at The Players Club of Swarthmore's Children's Series Aug. 10-18. Based on the hit Saturday morning cartoon series seen on ABC-TV throughout the '70s, '80s, and '90s, Schoolhouse Rock Live! teaches history, grammar, math, and more to a whole new generation. Academic subjects will never seem boring again when presented through megahits like Conjunction Junction, Just a Bill, Interplanet Janet or Three is a Magic Number. Directed by Jason Boyer, music director is Dan Matarazzo and choreographer is Caitlin Naylor.

Celebration Theatre Will Present Justin Sayre's RAVENSWOOD MANOR

Celebration Theatre, the nation's longest running LGBTQ theatre, will produce Justin Sayre's Ravenswood Manor, A Camp-Horror-Soap-Opera in October 2019, for a six-week run.
