Amas Musical Theatre is accepting applications for the fall semester of The Rosetta LeNoire Musical Theatre Academy, its award-winning pre-professional performance program for musical theatre lovers ages 12-18.

Amas Musical Theatre has announced they have relocated their home office to the 12th floor of the Film Center Building (630 Ninth Avenue – between 44th & 45th Streets). The company has created a state of the art rehearsal studio available for auditions, rehearsals, casting and workshops.

As of July 1st, founders of the Detroit Repertory Theatre, Bruce Millan and Barbara Busby have retired after 64 years of leadership of the iconic cultural institution.

Amas Musical Theatre is accepting a limited number of applicants for its Rosetta LeNoire Musical Theatre Academy “Summer Teen Academy 2021 Musical Theatre Intensive” for students ages 12-18 to be held this summer from July 27-August 12.

Moongate Productions will present the world premiere of who we are, a one act play written and directed by Christine Toy Johnson at the Women's Theatre Festival WTFringe2021 on July 9 at 6 pm EST with subsequent performances on July 17 at 6 pm EST and 24 at 6:30 pm EST.

Queens Theatre will host a second series of AAPI Healing Circle virtual spaces, starting in June and through this summer. The AAPI Healing Circle sessions, open to all individuals who identify as part of the AAPI community, will be held every other Monday at 7pm ET from June 14 to August 23.

NAATCO, today announced that the company has commissioned five Asian American playwrights, all women, to write monologues for characters no younger than 60-years-old. Each monologue will be at least 30 minutes long, and all five will be performed together as a piece entitled Out of Time.
