Amas Musical Theatre and the Amas Musical Theatre Lab, in association with Jeremiah James and Rashad V. Chambers, will present developmental lab readings of It Happened In Key West in the Elaine Castilla Orbach Studio at The Theater Center. There will be two performances: Thursday, October 27th at 2:00 and Friday, October 28th at 1:00pm.

Today's question is: Who has worn the most hats on Broadway- director, producer, writer, actor, etc.? Here are a few folks that could hold a record for the 'number of hats' they've worn on Broadway shows. Part one includes those who have worn four or five hats on Broadway shows and part two will include those who have held even more positions than that!

NAATCO will present the inaugural production of the NAATCO National Partnership Project, Queen, written by playwright and screenwriter Madhuri Shekar (House of Joy) and directed by Aneesha Kudtarkar, which will begin performances Friday June 10th at the A.R.T./New York Mezzanine Theatre (502 West 53rd Street), continuing through July 1st only.

Amas Musical Theatre and The Amas Song Salon will present “I Wanna Be Evil: The Eartha Kitt Story” starring Jenelle Randall, with Darrell Philip, written by Jenelle Lynn Randall. Directed by Yvans Jourdin with music direction by Darnell White, this one night only event will be held on Monday, June 13, 2022, at 7pm at Theater 555 (555 West 42nd Street).

The Civilians (Steve Cosson, Artistic Director; Margaret Moll, Managing Director), the award-winning New York-based theater company, will honor actor-manager and co-founder of NAATCO Mia Katigbak and Obie Award-winning director and arts leader Les Waters at The Civilians 20th Anniversary Gala Concert. Amas Musical Theatre in association with Melissa M Jones/All Awesome LLC, will present an industry reading of SuperYou, a new musical with book, lyrics, music and arrangements from the visionary mind of creator, Lourds Lane at Theatre Row – Theater 2 (410 West 42nd Street) on Thursday, April 21 at 3pm.

Carleton Upham Carpenter, Jr. (95) an American film, television and stage actor, songwriter, and novelist died Monday, January 31, 2022 in Warwick, NY.  He had been in declining health for some years.

Amas Musical Theatre (Donna Trinkoff, Artistic Producer) announced today that due to the ongoing issues regarding Covid, they are postponing the fourth year of “Dare To Be Different,” a festival of new musicals and special events which was to run from January 27 – February 18, 2022 at A.R.T./New York Theatres.

Gooding will join Dermot Mulroney, Darren Mann, Alyssa Goss , and Sonja John in the new film. Jame Rowe will write and direct the piece.
