 Milwaukee Rep will present the world premiere presentation of New Age by Pulitzer Prize finalist Dael Orlandersmith in the Stiemke Studio March 22 – May 1, 2022.  New Age follows four women at different junctures in life as they contend with their sexuality, insecurities and legacies. 

Milwaukee Rep will hold a One Day Sale for the musical event of the season, Titanic The Musical, on Monday, February 7, 2022. 

The Milwaukee Rep welcomes theater back into the Stiemke Studio with Antonio's Song/I Was Dreaming of a Son by Dael Orlandersmith and Antonio Edwards Suarez, directed by Mark Clements. The Rep describes the play as a 'poetic journey of a dancer/artist/father questioning the balance of his passions -- art, culture, family.'

After a delayed opening, Toni Stone is finally game-on at the Milwaukee Repertory Theater. Directed by Tinashe Kajese-Bolden, it's the biographical telling of the first woman to go pro in baseball's negro leagues, Marcenia 'Toni' Stone. Hers is a story of overcoming the odds and shattering expectations. Toni Stone, written by Lydia R. Diamond, was declared the Best New Play of 2019 by the Wall Street Journal.

A 90-minute confection. That's what Milwaukee Rep Artistic Director Mark Clements lovingly calls his Piano Men creation, now on stage in the Stackner Cabaret. The show is fully request-driven and unplanned -- part music revue, part piano bar. Not sure if piano bars are your thing? Trust the experience. It's loads of fun.

Originally programmed for March 2020, Milwaukee Rep will be bringing the world premiere production Antonio’s Song / I Was Dreaming of a Son by Pulitzer Prize finalist Dael Orlandersmith and Antonio Edwards Suarez to the Stiemke Studio January 27 – March 6, 2022. 

Milwaukee Repertory Theater will present Piano Men, which tackles music from Bach to Broadway in the Stackner Cabaret January 7 – February 27, 2022. Piano Men features Milwaukee Rep favorites Steve Watts and Nygel D. Robinson as two virtuoso piano players that will have audiences clapping, laughing and calling out requests. 

It had been a staggering 701 days since the Milwaukee Rep's last performance of A Christmas Carol, but this holiday tradition is back at the Pabst and as fantastic as ever. From old friends to new faces, the ever-impressive scenery to lush costumes, this whole production, adapted and directed by Mark Clements, feels like a festive hug -- a warm and comforting welcome to usher in the holiday season.

Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol is a timeless tale of hope and redemption that has been a cornerstone of Milwaukee Repertory Theater for more than 45 years, playing to over 1.5 million people, making it Milwaukee's favorite holiday tradition.

Helping to raise funds for a grossly underfunded disease is something you rarely see from a theater company. May is Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month and Milwaukee Repertory Theater is offering several virtual opportunities to hear from AAPI artists and leaders with Making the Invisible Visible: A Celebration of Asian American Pacific Islander Culture, Art & Activism.

Milwaukee Rep is presenting four original music videos to support vaccination efforts in Milwaukee and beyond.  Together with community partner Kiran Vedula, the videos are part of Milwaukee Rep’s Community Engagement Neighborhood programming to encourage the community to seek more information about COVID-19 vaccines.
