The Milburn Stone Theatre at Cecil College is ready to present the longest running American show on Broadway, Chicago, for the first time in its twenty-eight-year history. Chicago was originally written as a play in 1926 by Chicago tribune courthouse reporter, Maurine Dallas Watkins. Chicago was famously turned into a Broadway musical by John Kander and Fred Ebb and directed and choregraphed by Bob Fosse. Chicago was the winner of the 1997 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical. The 2002 film adaptation went on to win six academy awards including “Best Supporting Actress” and “Best Picture.”

New York City Center today announced complete casting for the Encores! production of Love Life. Joining previously announced cast members Kate Baldwin (Susan Cooper) and Brian Stokes Mitchell (Sam Cooper) are John Edwards (Hobo), Sara Jean Ford (Miss Ideal Man), Isabella Houston (Elizabeth Cooper), Owen Tabaka (Johnny Cooper), and Clarke Thorell (Bill/Mr. Cynic).

John Cameron Mitchell, the double Tony Award winning, Golden Globe-nominated co-creator of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, brings songs and stories from his history in a big, brash and bold rock spectacle, performing songs from his groundbreaking rock musical and regaling audiences with stories from 20 years of Hedwig with special guest Amber Martin.

The Recording Academy® welcomes the newest inductions to its distinguished GRAMMY Hall Of Fame®, continuing its ongoing commitment to preserving and celebrating timeless recordings. This year's additions recognize a diverse range of both single and album recordings at least 25 years old that exhibit qualitative or historical significance. Recordings are reviewed each year by a special member committee comprised of eminent and knowledgeable professionals from all branches of the recording arts, with final approval by the Recording Academy's National Board of Trustees. On December 17, 2019, John Cameron Mitchell joined Michael Cerveris, Edward Carter Simon (Big Easy Award nominated Hedwig in New Orleans 2019) and Kimberly Kaye (Big Easy Award winning Yitsak in New Orleans 2019) onstage at Chickie Wah Wah in New Orleans for a very special version of Stephen Trask's 'Origin Of Love' during the Loose Cattle band's annual Christmas hootenanny, A Very Loose Cattle Christmas. Glenn Close and John Cameron Mitchell will host an eight-hour listening party for their new podcast musical, Anthem: Homunculus.

John Cameron Mitchell has teamed up with Eyelids to record an EP of Lou Reed covers, and the proceeds of the EP will go towards Mitchell's mom's Alzheimer's care. They also released an animated video for a?oeWaves of Fear.a?? 

On November 21, the award-winning SITI Company will honor Tony-nominee and vanguard artist Taylor Mac, at their annual fall gala, which celebrates SITI's contribution to both the American theatrical landscape and to theatre-making around the world.
