Amazon Studios today announced it has signed a first look deal with award-winning actors and producers Gael García Bernal (Mozart in the Jungle) and Diego Luna (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), who currently serve as executive producers on the upcoming limited series Untitled Cortés and Moctezuma Project, from Amazon Studios and Amblin Television. As part of the deal, Bernal and Luna will create and produce content for Amazon Studios to premiere on Amazon Prime Video in over 200 countries and territories worldwide. Luna and Bernal recently announced their new production house in Mexico, La Corriente del Golfo, an independent company for cinematic, theatrical, and television productions and a variety of community-oriented projects.

Variety reports that actor Willem Dafoe has joined the cast of Guillermo del Toro's 'Nightmare Alley.'

The Long Beach Playhouse opens its 2019 - 2020 season with The Haunting of Hill House. The play is adapted by F. Andrew Leslie from the novel written by Shirley Jackson in 1959. The story focuses on Dr. Montague (a paranormal researcher), an isolated and creepy old house with a bad reputation, a collection of his guests chosen for their susceptibility to the supernatural, a quirky relative of the mansion's owner and the strangely disquieting house staff. As the foreboding and creepiness grows we must ask the question, 'What can be done when the malevolent presence isn't in the house but is the house?'

SHUDDER recently announced their September line up and among the titles listed were two films from indie genre distributor TERROR FILMS. According to Variety, Don Cheadle is set to star in DON'T LOOK DEEPER. The series is a new science fiction drama also starring Emily Mortimer and Helena Howard. Catherine Hardwicke is set to direct and Jeffrey Lieber will showrun, write and executive produce. 

DreamWorks Animation today announced Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, an animated action-adventure series, is set to debut globally on Netflix in 2020 as part of an ongoing multi-year agreement with Netflix to produce original animated kids and family programming. Set within the same timeline as the 2015 blockbuster film, Jurassic World, the Netflix original series is inspired by the multi-billion-dollar franchise from Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment.
