Today marks the 35th anniversary of the A Chorus Line film.  To celebrate this anniversary Concord Theatricals has released a new lyric video for “What I Did For Love” from the original cast recording featuring Priscilla Lopez and the A Chorus Line ensemble.

National Alliance for Musical Theatre is now accepting submissions for the 2021 Festival of New Musicals, which will take place on Thursday, October 21 and Friday, October 22, 2021. All writers can submit a free application for Festival consideration if submitted by December 21, 2020.

Philip J. Smith, Chairman and Co-CEO of The Shubert Organization, has announced his retirement, effective June 30th, 2020. The Shubert Organization owns and operates 17 Broadway theatres and six Off-Broadway venues. Mr. Smith will also resign his duties as Chairman of The Shubert Foundation.

On Saturday, June 27, from 6:00-9:00 (ET). Cleveland Public Theatre's Staff will (safely and responsibly) broadcast Station Hope, a jubilant community event celebrating Cleveland's social justice history and exploring contemporary struggles for freedom and equity. Today we rewind to 2011 for opening night of Bonnie & Clyde, starring Laura Osnes and Jeremy Jordan as the title duo. Bonnie & Clyde, featuring music by Frank Wildhorn, opened on December 1 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre, where it ran for 36 performances. In the show, two small-town kids from the middle of nowhere became the biggest folk heroes in all America. They craved adventure-and each other. Their names were Bonnie and Clyde and now, this sexy new musical has claimed the Schoenfeld Theatre as its hideout.

In celebration of Pride, Playbill and Pride Plays will present four live streamed readings of plays by and about the LGBTQIA+ community every Friday in June in support of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

By special arrangement with Concord Theatricals, Red Line Productions will present a live streamed reading of Lyle Kessler's Orphans, featuring Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner Alec Baldwin, who starred in the show on Broadway in 2016.
