Theatre Raleigh ushers in the 2015 Hot Summer Nights Season with the beloved musical with local ties; Pump Boys and Dinettes, will play at Kennedy Theatre on May 27-June 7 (May 27 Preview Night, May 28 Opening Night). This musical was conceived and written in nearby Chapel Hill, NC by John Foley, Mark Hardwick, Debra Monk, Cass Morgan, John Schimmel, and Jim Wann. This show is rated  PG-13 (more...)

Blend Shakespeare's grandest romantic tragedy with Prokofiev's gorgeous ballet and it's time to experience a whole new "Romeo and Juliet." The Theatre and Dance Program at Mercer County Community College (MCCC) presents an original adaptation of the Shakespeare classic at Kelsey Theatre. Dates and show times are Fridays, April 10 and 17 at 8 p.m.; Saturdays, April 11 and 18 at 8 p.m.; and Sundays, April 12 and 19 at 2 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is located on the college's West Windsor Campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road. It's the early 1980s and an unidentified disease is killing off an oddly specific group of people: gay men, mainly in New York City. Students in the Mercer County Community College (MCCC) Theatre Program present the Larry Kramer drama 'The Normal Heart' at MCCC's Studio Theatre tonight, Dec. 5 at 8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 6 at 2 and 8 p.m.; and Sunday, Dec. 7 at 2 p.m. The Studio Theatre is located adjacent to Kelsey Theatre on the college's West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road. This story is brought to an emotional and theatrical life by acclaimed playwright Alfred Uhry and Jason Robert Brown, one of Broadway's most promising young composers. Daring, innovative and bold, Parade won well-earned Tony Awards for Best Book and Best Score in 1999. Its subject matter offers a moral lesson about the dangers of prejudice and ignorance that should not be forgotten. Appropriate for ages 16+ (due to adult subject matter, but no harsh language). Florida Studio Theatre has once again extended the run of the hit show Let's Twist Again: with the Wanderers, into its sixteenth week. This is the longest running Cabaret show in FST history. The ‘50s & ‘60s style musical revue that has kept the Goldstein Cabaret hopping since it opened on October 19. Tickets can now be purchased through February 2, 2013 online at Floridastudiotheatre.org, by phone at (941) 366-9000 or by visiting the FST Box Office at 1241 North Palm Avenue in downtown Sarasota.
