On July 9 (6:30pm EDT), Black Theatre United founding member and moderator Audra McDonald will join Sherrilyn Ifill (President of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund) in conversation for Black Theatre United's Inaugural event 'Activating Black Artists and Allies for Racial Justice'

The Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan will continue its free, smash hit virtual health and wellness series -Broadway's Best for Breast Cancer!-with co-hosts Hamilton star Mandy Gonzalez and JCC senior director of health and wellness programming Caroline Kohles, on Mondays June 22 and 29 at 6 p.m.

A new coalition of artists, Black Theatre United, has been announced to influence widespread reform and combat systemic racism within the theatre industry and throughout the nation.

Actors' Equity has invited members to attend an open discussion regarding racial injustice and anti-Black practices in the theatre industry. This conversation will be hosted by Equal Employment Opportunity Committee Vice Chairs E. Faye Butler, Barbara Roberts and Allyson Tucker.

J2 Spotlight Musical Theater Company announced today that performances for the company's final production of its inaugural 2020 season have been rescheduled.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, City Center cancelled the remainder of its season due to the current health crisis. One production that was cancelled, was Love Life, which was set to run March 18 - 22, starring Kate Baldwin and Brian Stokes Mitchell. However, Jack Viertel, Encores! Artistic Director, has some promising news.

The newly formed J2 Spotlight Musical Theater Company ends its inaugural season with the 2001 musical, A Class Act, with book by Linda Kline and Lonny Price, and music and lyrics by Edward Kleban. Performances will begin TOMORROW Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 7:30pm and continue through March 22, 2020 at Theatre Row

The Actors Fund announced today that Kelli O'Hara has joined the cast of the upcoming benefit concert of Ragtime in the role of 'Mother'. The unforgettable music of the Tony Award-winning sensation Ragtime will once again be heard on Broadway in a one-night only benefit concert on Monday, April 27, 2020.

New York City Center today announced complete casting for the Encores! production of Love Life. As BroadwayWorld reported last night, Casting Society of America honored excellence in casting across feature films, television and theatre at the 35th Annual Artios Awards held on Thursday, January 30 at ceremonies in New York, Los Angeles, and London. The New York ceremony was hosted by Michelle Buteau at Stage 48, Ron Funches hosted in Los Angeles at the Beverly Hilton, and Jason Isaacs hosted in London at the Four Seasons Hotel at Ten Trinity Square.

Seesaw is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc., a Concord Theatricals Company. Based on the play Two for the Seesaw by William Gibson. Opening Night is Thursday, February 13, 2020 at 7:30pm.
