What did our critic think of POTUS at Circuit Playhouse? As with any comedy, and farce particularly, timing is everything and it takes about half of Act I before the cast finds their rhythm and ensures the audience is keeping up with them. It’s a lot all at once.

In 1943, MI5 secretary Hester Leggatt played a vital role in an operation to fool the Nazis, by writing fake love letters to be found on a corpse. Hester's own story remained a mystery until Operation Mincemeat inspired fans, known as mincefluencers, to #FindHester. Erin Edwards wrote to MI5, asking for confirmation that Hester had worked in the wartime security services. Operation Mincemeat: A New Musical ‘the best musical in decades - a Hamilton and Book of Mormon love child’ garnering fifty-eight five star reviews, has extended its West End run again by a further five weeks until 23 September.

Operation Mincemeat is a victory for the underdog, in themes as well as in reality. Relatable characters with vibrant backgrounds, regardless of their size, go on a Frankensteinian journey to divert the Nazi battalion to Sardinia. From songs about wanting to be a maggot to heart-wrenching glimpses into tragic love stories, it’s as eclectic as it is entertaining. Rhythmic pop music, a contemporary musical theatre sound, the odd rap segue, and a tune that would feel at home at Berghain for good measure (“Das Übermensch”) are the foundation of this life-affirming, riotous history lesson.

Following three weeks of sold-out previews, Operation Mincemeat: A New Musical, has extended its West End premiere run by six weeks until 19th August. The show follows thirty-three hugely successful years of The Woman In Black at the Fortune Theatre.

Following five sold-out development runs at the New Diorama Theatre in 2019 and Southwark Playhouse in 2020, 2021 & 2022, plus an extended Riverside Studios run last summer, the full cast and creative team for the West End premiere of Operation Mincemeat - a new musical, has been announced.

The producers of Operation Mincemeat have announced that David Cumming, Claire-Marie Hall, Natasha Hodgson, Jak Malone and Zöe Roberts, the 2023 Off-West End 'Best Musical Production' award winning cast (Southwark Playhouse/ Riverside Studios), are returning for the West End transfer.

The Play That Goes Wrong, with deliberate miscues and physical comedy, literally stumbles onto the Lohrey Theatre Stage at Theatre Memphis, March 3 – 26, 2023. Hysterical and constantly surprising, this play within a play consists of actors missing cues, breaking character and the fourth wall, all of which foretells disaster.

Three Korean musicals will be showcased in London for the first time to show the diverse writing talent as part of the first K Musical Roadshow in the UK. The presentation will consist of three 30 minute presentations followed by a drinks and food reception.
