And a Happy Birthday shout-out to David Hyde Pierce, who turns 56 today!

Pierce is directing It Shoulda Been You on Broadway this season, as well as Ripcord off-Broadway. He last starred in Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike (which earned him a Tony nod in 2013), La Bete, Accent on Youth, Curtains (which won him a Tony in 2007), Spamalot, The Heidi Chronicles and Beyond Therapy. In 2010, he received the Tonys Isabelle Stevenson Award. Among his off-Broadway credits are Close Up Space, an oak tree, Waiting for Godot, Much Ado About Nothing, Zero Positive, The Maderati, Hamlet and Summer. The actor is well known for his role as 'Dr. Niles Crane' in the NBC sitcom Frasier, for which he took home four Emmy Awards. Since then, Pierce has appeared on TV in The Good Wife and will soon be seen in Wet Hot American Summer.
